Reception - Sandringham House Visit

Reception visit to Sandringham House - Thursday, 28th April 2022

Today, children in Reception visited Sandringham House and Gardens.

We began by having a lovely walk through the Queen's gardens and fed the very big fish in the lake. We even saw an ancient oak tree which is over 600 years old. We then took part in a Jubilee workshop where we each drew food for a picnic. They also looked at a range of different artefacts.

We also had a guided tour through the house. The children were amazed that the Queen has 12 Christmas trees. We saw where the Queen sits and watches TV and where she eats her Christmas lunch with her family.

We have had a truly great day but very tiring, I’m sure we will all sleep well tonight.
