Heritage/Love West Norfolk Day - Friday, 11th February 2022
A key part of our curriculum is developing a knowledge and pride in Norfolk as we look to one day create 'Leaders for Lynn'. However, we are also really lucky to have families that originate from all of the UK and the world that it is important that we recognise and celebrate.
We have held a non-uniform day where children have been asked to dress in anyway that links to where they or their families originate. This could be a football shirt, 'I love Wales' cap or a traditional outfit. A £1 donation for this non-uniform day will be donated to a local, King's Lynn Charity, that the children will be involved in choosing.
To support our Geography curriculum, we have mapped where our families are from, whether this be King's Lynn, Cromer or Cairo.
The children are also completing some work focusing on local landmarks to develop the children's knowledge of the fantastic area in which we live and understand why we should be proud of this.
